Vintage 20s Whiting & Davis Evening Bag Painted Mesh Steel Art Deco

Soft bodied mesh bag decorated with enamel paint in soft pastels over metal mesh - creating a dream like, abstract, and very romantic look - on both sides. The gold frame is elaborately decorated in an art deco, geometric shape and there is a golden snake chain for a hand strap. Note the pointed V hem and the mesh fringe hanging at bottom. Interior is lined and silk and features a small pocket.

Condition: very good with the frame and mesh intact with no flaws. Interior silk has rips on both sides at center tops, but still attached throughout! Strap has a little tarnish that could use a cleaning.
